 Note-taking guidelines

  1. Write the date
  2. Write the session under the date
  3. Separate days using a line
  4. Write a heading or title for each activity 
  5. Write a summary of the lesson at the end of each session
  6. Leave some space between activities
  7. Leave margins 
  8. Use both sides of the sheet of paper
  9. Write neatly
  10. Use reasonable size handwriting
  11. Don’t be sloppy
  12. Do not use colours for writing
  13. Do not decorate your notes with drawings
  14. You can use highlihters for headings
  15. Use only black or blue pens
  16. Leave red for corrections
  17. Number pages
  18. Keep an index
  19. Revise your notes everyday
  20. Write the date in the handouts the teacher gives you. Keep them organised together with your class notes.
